A reliable heat lamp used to warm puppies, lambs, goat kids, chickens, or any animal that is sick or cold.
Common heat lamps often overheat and are potentially dangerous. The Prima heat lamp is strong and safe, with an included protective guard.
Use standard or infrared (heat) bulbs no higher than 250 watt. We recommend 175 watt, which you can find on our website here.

Caution: To ensure safety please self-inspect the plug and all connections. Lamp should be at least 20" from ground. At this height, the area directly under the lamp will usually be about 10-15 degrees F above non-heated areas. Overheating puppies is dangerous. Confine the heat to a limited space in your whelping box to allow escape (such as a corner). Observe behavior of your puppies to determine whether there's too much heat. The area under the lamp will be drier - beware of dehydration. Do not place combustible objects (e.g. newspapers, etc) near lamp.

What type of material is the handle?
Each kennel door comes with a strong, lockable stainless steel handle. Inside the handle is a stainless steel spring that helps keep the latch closed, so your dog can’t push the door open. It’s safe and secure, but still easy to open with one hand. You can also add a padlock or clasp for extra security if needed.
