Special Cut Down Pet Doors for Storm Doors & Overhead Garage Doors
The Storm Door Pet Door by Security Boss Manufacturing features a heavy duty frame that will fit thinner applications such as storm doors or thin panels. This model has a single flexible vinyl flap that is UV treated to prevent discoloration or warping and is also heat treated to minimize shrinkage in cold weather environments. All Security Boss products are hand built to order.
Storm doors are available in a variety of design styles, but more often are insulated compared to older thin metal kick plate versions. These doors tend to be between 3/4" and 1 1/8" in thickness. Often these storm doors feature panel designs on the lower half with a window top portion. Installing a dog door into this area is easy; no particular attention needs to be made in regards to the panel designs your door may feature. Place the pet door where it will work for your pets the best. Trying to match panel designs may result in a poor or awkward location for you pets. These doors are also easily installed into an insulated overhead garage door as well, and all the same principals apply.
Designed for storm doors 3/4" to 1 1/8" thick, this pet door is a great choice for either flat surface or panel designed doors, and will likely fit any insulated storm door model regardless of manufacturer.
Notes: A protective Rain Guard is included free with your purchase for protection from direct rain on the pet door. Optional High Wind Magnets are also available for customers who live in severe wind locations.

What type of material is the handle?
Each kennel door comes with a strong, lockable stainless steel handle. Inside the handle is a stainless steel spring that helps keep the latch closed, so your dog can’t push the door open. It’s safe and secure, but still easy to open with one hand. You can also add a padlock or clasp for extra security if needed.
