Does it feel like you’re always choosing between getting fresh air, keeping insects out of your home, and still giving your pet the freedom they want? Maybe it’s time to invest in a dog or cat screen door for your sliding door or patio door. Hale Pet Screen Doors are the perfect option for those who want to let the breeze in on a hot day but also don’t want to be letting their pet in and out constantly.

The screen dog door and screen cat doors are easy to install, high quality, and durable and work perfectly on virtually any screened enclosure, door, or window. Keep the bugs out, let the fresh air in, and stop being your pet’s doorman with our cat and dog screen doors.

Wanting to let fresh air in while allowing your pet to venture out? With 3 models available, the Hale Screen Pet Door is perfect for screened porches, screen doors, and window screens. These models feature a flexible flap that seals tightly against magnets and weather stripping in the pet door frame to help make the Hale Screen Model more "bug-proof" than other brand pet doors. Added to that other proprietary design that attaches to the frame of the screen door as well as the screen mesh, the Hale Screen Model is a sturdy choice for a variety of installation locations.

Available Models:

Half-Inch or Less Model

This model of screen pet door features legs on one side and the bottom that are designed to slide over an existing frame thickness of 1/2" or less. The proprietarily designed spline frame, on the other side and top, has channels that will hold the screen spline and mesh of your door or window. With the channels on both interior and exterior sides, this Hale Screen model is completely reversible and able to be installed in the left or right corner of your screen.

Cut Model

This model of screen pet door features legs that have been cut on one side and the bottom to fit the intended location. The proprietarily designed spline frame, on the other side and top, has channels that will hold the screen spline and mesh of your door or window. This is the most common model used for lanais, screen porches, and sidelights.

Once this frame is Cut it is then considered a custom item and is only returnable for 50% credit towards the purchase of another pet door. Please take care when ordering to answer all of the questions.

Universal Model

This model of screen pet door has a spline channel or grooves on all four sides. The pet door is held in place by the spline and mesh on the top and one side as well as with metal retainer clips on the other side and bottom that connect the pet door to the screen door frame. We recommend adding our screen stabilizer bar at the top for additional support.  This model is also completely reversible for installation in either the left or right corner of the screen door or window.

NOTE:

We recommend a screen stabilizer kit for our screen pet doors size "Tall Large" and above. (shown installed in the gallery) This stabilizing bar can be added to your people door directly above the pet door for added strength.

Lasts long

I purchased this product 14 years ago and it is still in use today. The flap is still clear and flexible. It has held up in the heat (110 degrees) with no problems. I'm putting a second door into the backyard as my 14-year old cat no longer likes all the noise and commotion in the front yard...and I'm tired of being the "cat butler"!

Good adjustment

Quincy adjusted very quickly to the tunnel vs. door version. We are both pleased with the performance.

Works great even for cats

We installed this pet door leading from our house to our screened in patio so our 3 cats can come and go out to the patio as they wished. My husband installed the door himself, he has lots of tools and know how. Might be difficult for someone who doesn't. It is holding up well so far. We started training the cats to use it by first taping the doors up so they could get used to going through it. We then put the door down and assisted them with it until they learned to push it open.It took a few weeks before the last cat would go through it, but they now all use it at will. The cats love the independence and we are happy to not have to open the door so much for them.

Yes!

Never thought I would have a dog door, but with 3 dogs it became a necessity. The only install could be through the wall and the outside is brick. With the help of my contractor I ordered the medium, double flap with the 10" depth. It is a perfect fit, looks great and the dogs are loving life. I am no longer a slave to opening and closing the patio door and feel more comfortable if I am running a little late getting home. Can't believe I waited 21 years. This is the best Christmas present I have ever bought myself.
