Great alternative for high wind and heavy use. Strongest magnetically held door on the market. High Power magnets can be used with regular magnets (ie: regular power in hinged panel and heavy-duty in frame) performance will be better than regular magnets but not as good as two heavy-duty magnets.

Couldn’t be happier

Door arrived quickly and packaging was excellent. Installation was not as easy as I had hoped because the metal part that goes through the wall had to be cut the right depth and a wood frame had to be added in between the inner and outer walls to screw the door into. However, it's very sturdy now and should last forever. I bought this as a replacement door because the dogs had demolished the first one I bought (a different brand). They ripped it off the wall and stripped the screws racing in and out. That won't happen with this one. It also appears that the flap will be easy to replace when it wears out.

My dog figured it out right away

Love the door! The double flap keeps the bugs out and the A.C. Or heat inside! Well worth the cost and effort to install. I did need someone with experience to install it as you need the right tools and the knowledge.

My cat got it right away

We purchased several doors from local stores. They all looked cheaply made. Our pet door had to be up to our HOA standards, due to living on a townhouse. We couldn't be happier!!! It looks factory ~ like it was part of the design. Our little guys have no issues with it and couldn't be happier. I strongly recommend this door!!!

Keeps the cold air out

Received the Hale pet door promptly. After the contractor cut through 8" of concrete, stucco and drywall in my garage wall, the door was inserted, with extension tunnel that I trimmed to proper length with an angle grinder. I had to purchase a concrete drill bit and concrete screws as the bit and screws furnished are for wood installations. Also, I did not glue the carpet down and instead used industrial velcro which is working find. If I need to replace or remove the carpet, it will be easier with velcro than scraping glue off of the tunnel.
Great product. It took the cats about 3-4 days of my pushing them through the door to get them comfortable with using it. The double flap is outstanding, keeping out the cold in Idaho.
