We love our pets and want to make sure they are safe at all times. That’s why Dakota 283 developed a crate that will do just that. The Kennebec Kennel is the original tough and long-lasting dog kennel. These durable crates are manufactured using the same process used to make industrial-strength military cases. The walls are tough and rugged to absorb impact while the corners remain virtually impervious to crushing, cracking, and other damage. The deep and wide interior is large enough to hold most dogs and other similar sized animals. By design, the carrier fits the rear interior of most trucks, SUVs, and hatchbacks (that are 48 inches wide or more). If your pet has an accident, the plastic easily rinses clean, and the small holes in the corners allow for easy drainage. There’s plenty of air circulation too, and thanks to the double-hinged door, access is never a problem. On the top, you’ll find two large grip-handles that make lifting and maneuvering the Kennebec a snap. The Kennebec Kennel also can be mounted to the Dakota 283 Badlands Storage Vaults hunting and storage case. The perfect combo for hunters using dogs in the field. What type of material is the handle?
Each kennel door comes with a strong, lockable stainless steel handle. Inside the handle is a stainless steel spring that helps keep the latch closed, so your dog can’t push the door open. It’s safe and secure, but still easy to open with one hand. You can also add a padlock or clasp for extra security if needed.
Are these kennels easy to assemble?
Your kennel ships with easy assembly instructions, covering all essential components:
- Kennel panel setup
- Panel-to-panel coupling
- Handle & quick-lock latch installation
- Top mesh panels (if applicable)
- Isolation panels (if applicable)
- Back-to-back panel configurations
